An evening cooling trend is on tap for Middle Alabamaland and much of the American South this week, an early hint of fall weather and a break from the oppressive summer heat.

The five day forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s at night, although afternoon highs will still be in the upper 80s with sunny skies, slight winds out of the north and humidity levels in the 60s and 70s.

Mornings and evenings will be a good time to get outside and away from television sets and computers.
