Showtime rolled out the season three premier of The Tudors Sunday night in an opening to a part of the story that will continue to reveal just how corrupt monarchy was on the people.

Even Christians should be able to sympathize with the commoners who began a bloody rebellion against King Henry VIII for sacking their monasteries, after previously declaring himself the direct path to God — over the pope. King Henry also starts using the term “natural law” in a distorted way, well before we re-defined it based on science, not religion, in setting up this American democracy.
It is interesting to pick up on the history here, especially to begin to understand how close we came to returning back to monarchy in king wannabe George W. Bush’s reign.
On the other hand, perhaps someone should have cut off his head before it was too late, like King Henry did to his wives who failed to bear him a son.
