MSNBC talk show host Ed Schultz will hold a radio town hall meeting at the Sheraton in downtown Birmingham on Friday, August 23, starting at 7 p.m.

This radio town hall, which will be broadcast on Sirius/XM radio on Progress 127, is open to the public on a first come first serve basis. Doors open at 6 p.m.

MSNBC cameras will be there as well, according to the announcement on The Ed Show Website.

The subject of the show and the setup question is: “Where is red state Alabama on education, jobs and health care?”

In conjunction with the show, the Alabama AFL-CIO is sponsoring a rally in Linn Park starting at 4:30 p.m. where activists will talk about the economic and social impact of red-state policies on education, healthcare and jobs.
