Karl Rove Declares the End of Concern for Climate Change?

November 4th, 2010

Is that what Republicans and independent voted for on Tuesday? Karl “Turdblossom” Rove, famous for being “Bush’s brain,” reveals his ties to big oil and energy and “wrongfully,” according to MSNBC, “boasts the end of climate change.”

You might as well believe in the Mayan calendar, I guess. These MoFo’s want it to end. The world that is. Don’t you believe it. We will bury Karl Rove, again, before this is all over…

My question, from months ago, remains: why is Rove being featured in the mainstream media? He is on Fox, which of course is not exactly mainstream as I conceive of it, but he gets attention elsewhere. Why? He is something on the order of a latter day Boss Tweed, without Tweed’s redeeming characteristics.

I’ve asked the same question, and just asked the science writer at the New York Times who is supposed to be covering global warming about it on Facebook.

Is the Times going to continue to promote Karl Rove’s false narrative about the world in the name of being “fair and balanced” like FoxNews, or are they going to forcefully dispute it, like the Science Times of old — and the Editorial section would have done back when?

Can the Times be trusted as the newspaper of record on science in the U.S. anymore? We will see. It is a question now both in journalism and academic circles…
