Pressure From the Press Breeds Transparency

The oil and gas stream from the riser of the Deepwater Horizon well May 11, 2010. This video is from the larger of two existing leaks on the riser. Why did it start out white and turn black?

  2. David Underhill Says:

“They” say white is natural gas, black is crude oil…and the geyser has been spewing both throughout.

My Q is where are the other leak videos? This picture looks to me like the end of a broken off pipe…so there would be no leaks beyond that in the pipe…but there are reportedly three leaks…so the other two must be at kinks or holes further along the pipe toward the wellhead…with less having escaped at those earlier leaks, the pressure would be higher and the leak more spectacularly high speed and high volume…or so it seems to non-engineer me…and so they don’t release pictures of those leaks–which would be even more shocking than this one…that’s my guess.
