		<description>It is at least mildly disturbing that a spouse of a Supreme Court justice has chosen to appear in a very partisan setting implicitly supporting a very partisan agenda.

Not that spouses of federal judges are supposed to not have political opinions and act on them, but rather to use some common sense about the appropriate ways to do so.

Anything that gives the appearance of a federal judge or immediate family supporting a particular partisan agenda tends to lessen confidence in the theoretically impartial nature of the office.

But, it&#039;s not surprising.</description>
