Rove's fundamental delusion is that having external power over others, as opposed to self-mastery, is a priority goal for life achievement. That simple delusion leads to all the twisting, lying and deception we've seen from Mr. Rove and, for that matter, most politicians, political operatives and their allies and minions. Delusions run deep for many people, certainly for politicians, and even more so for that particular brand of politician known as a political operative.
