  1. Yana Davis Says:

Sarah looks good right now compared to Mark Sanford and John Ensign, and may just be getting ready to fully concentrate, without all those nasty official investigations, on a presidential bid in 2012. After all, she could do a talk radio show or get a gig on Fox to make sure she stays in the limelight.

Former governors (Carter, Reagan) have gone on to become president in the past, so there’s no precedent there that would stop Palin getting the GOP nomination. And despite the cognescenti distain for the moose-shooting mother and now grandmother, it would be well to remember that if the economy continues to be in a mess, she might actually pose a serious challenge for Barack Obama in 2012. I said might, because a lot of constellations would need to line up exactly in order for that to happen.

This observer cannot imagine her simply fading into oblivion, although it could happen. Dan Quayle, whose name is barely remembered today, was once thought to have a serious shot at being president one day, following a putative second term for Bush senior.

  2. Glynn Wilson Says:

Every word that comes out of her mouth is the most disjointed nonsense I’ve ever heard. But so what. That didn’t stop the yeehaws from voting for Bush.

  3. Dan Fulton Says:

Michele Bachmann, Palin, and Bennett can do a threesome on Fox.
    Really fair and balanced?
Bennett might want to lose a few pounds.

  4. H Bailey Thomson Says:

Sarah Palin came into politics with no law background, and like many uneducated individuals who manage to get elected, she has shot herself in the foot many times.

She clearly says that her office has been unable to accomplish anything because of her lack of common sense or charisma, except for her past as a beauty queen. The lack of qualifications for VP was breathtaking, and it hence exposed her inadequacy as Governor as well.

  5. Glynn Wilson Says:

But the boobs support her in the polls for president?

Let her run. Most of America is over this right-wing nut anti-intellectual fetish…
