Good for promoting good stuff on the Web. Bad when it detracts from helping to create the economy for it in the future. As far as I know, no one's come up with a viable economic model for making money from an e-mail list. That's why I only send blurbs and links via e-mail instead of entire posts. All contributions of content and resources are considered welcome, although we reserve the right to refuse. Some bloggers will allow people to say anything and take money from big corporate polluters. We believe in editing and limiting who we take money from. That's why we use the Google filter to block Ann Coulter and Newt Gingrich from advertising on this site. They really want to, but we say no. That also goes for ExxonMobile and Southern Company.
