For the return of the rule under law to begin, it seems necessary to demonstrate that the law does in fact apply to all citizens of the jurisdiction ruled by any particular set of laws. We have witnessed a lawless regime existing in Washington D.C. for 8 years, and we can now watch a dramatization of a dishonored and fallen American President who claimed that he was indeed above the law. I watched the real thing many years ago, certainly not diminished in drama for its reality. The time is now, and the need is absolute for a concrete demonstration that we are all citizens and all of us are obliged to honor this social contract. Or we shall watch as lawlessness spreads to the mass of us.
