		<description>Sat on the porch a lot this fall, in that nice cool and pretty dry weather before the respite from the drought began. Though there wasn&#039;t a single &quot;flock&quot; of monarchs to be seen like those of my childhood, did see a good many singles, a few pairs. Remarkable how they appeared from exactly the same spot above pasture fence, began climbing to pass over a young cedar at the same distance from it, and disappeared from sight between the same loblolly and post oak as the one before and the one to follow. This is one of the most marvelous things possible, simple and small as it is.</description>
