What is happening with Don Siegelman’s appeal? Has there been any news or decision from the court since the December 9 argument? What do you think about Eric Holder’s confirmation?

This is too huge to let bygones be bygones. The people of Alabama were robbed of a fair election (and I know, not the first time). The Department of Justice was hijacked from the American people and used as a hit squad for the Republican White House, the RNC, and the permanent Republican majority wet dream of Karl Rove.

I’m not shutting up about it.

As Jill Simpson said in my first interview with her last summer:

“I still believe that justice will always prevail in the end,” Ms. Simpson said. “Justice will always prevail. I really believe that.”

I tried to tell here there was no such thing as truth and justice in Bush’s world.

But now that he is on the way out the White House door, we will see : )

Thanks for helping keep this story on a front page. The injustice to Mr. Siegelman and to our system of justice demands attention and accountability. Governor Siegelman’s story is truly tragic, but his ability to keep fighting with dignity has earned my greatest respect. I care, and I help spread his story. As people learn the facts, they too care and contribute whatever they can.
