This place should have been a historical marker and not touched but preserved. The springs wasa major water supply for the beginning of Birmingham...along with Wilson Springs. Larry Langford should make this a historic place and CLEAN UP EAST LAKE PARK for God sake!!!!! Let's preserve our history!!! Thank you for writing on this very important story. The common sense thing to do? "Well, why don't they get some beavers to build a dam?" "Brilliant idea. Wouldn't cost a cent." "Oh, that's what was there in the first place." "With all the agencies and departments of the city, including the horticulture department, what will that end up costing the taxpayers?" "Good question." "There's an old saying. If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Thank you very much Ms. Nummy and/or your supervisors. Have you resigned yet?
