I guess now’s the time to talk about it, since it will help sell his book…

I guess he is off the invite list for the Iranian Attack BBQ scheduled for August at the Bush ranch.

  2. Glynn Wilson Says:

Barb is marking him off all the lists today. He might not be safe setting foot in Texas.

Let the talking heads bang on, baby! Bang, bang, bang…

  3. Cissy Says:

The revelation that Bush lied knocked me plumb off my feet. Beam me up, Scotty!

I see that in response to this book, Karl Rove is now promoting the reading of the left wing blogs. By saying that that McClellan, as he now tells us what he really knew, sounds like the left wing blogs, Rove is doing nothing less than publicly recognizing that the left wing blogs provided the first insights into what was really going on.

  5. Glynn Wilson Says:

Good point Jim. I guess them B’ham Ruse boys think this is a left-wing blog, and I know it looks like one. But this Website and the dominant point of view expressed here would not exist without Bush or the disillusionment expressed clearly by McClellan.

In other words, it’s Bush’s fault. It’s all Bush’s fault. That’s where the buck stops.

Now can we get that apology from the corporate chain papers for endorsing Bush TWICE?

  6. Glynn Wilson Says:

BTW: That was an amazing performance by who I used to call “Little Scotty McClellan” on Countdown.

I was fully prepared to continue bashing the guy AND his former boss. But after looking into his eyes, through the TV at least and limited to Olbermann’s questions, I think we owe him a thank you for confirming what we’ve been saying all along.

May write about it when the transcript and video come out.

Plus, he’s lost weight and grown sideburns - and likes Obama : )

  7. Cissy Says:

Yeah, gotta know he’s for real when you can look into his eyes and see his soul (or whatever the Omnipotent One said about “Vladimir,” as he will address a cringing Putin in front of TV cameras beaming around the globe–our King Dude is one classy world leader!). Kidding aside, I do thank Scott McClellan for putting it on paper.

  8. Glynn Wilson Says:

Hey, my judgment is far better than Bush’s. What he said about Putin - and what happened later- shows Bush doesn’t know the difference between a hole in the ground and his ass.

The guy handled the pressure, appeared totally sincere, and at least so far, no one’s taken apart any part of his book. Since I haven’t seen it yet, I’m wondering what he said about Gannongate. That’s what I would ask about. How often did gay male prostitute Jeff Gannon spend the night in the White House? In what bedroom? And with whom? : )

BTW: I’m going to try opening the comments up with no moderation for a little while on this one - until the spammers find us again : (

What the heck. Let’s talk about it…

  9. Glynn Wilson Says:

I agree! I can’t imagine they haven’t threatened his life at least several times by now. Obviously it takes someone like him for the “liberal media” to be able to air anything questionable regarding this administration…

Glynn, of course your judgment is better than bush’s. (I just couldn’t resist the looking into the eyes bit; forgive me.) McClellan was in a perfect position to have witnessed what we were seeing and hearing for many years, and we hope he is looking over his shoulder now that he has come out with what he saw. Since that bunch was willing to invade and destroy a country that did nothing to us along with countless other atrocious deeds, they would have no problem with taking out an eyewitness with the courage to speak out.

  11. Yana Davis Says:

McClellan is getting fried up like fish and chips by the neoconservative mediafolk, of course. Among other sins he’s accused of is “ingratitude.” The reality is that it takes intestinal fortitude go public the way Scott has. There’s no end to the personal and financial mischief he could get as a result of the book and subsequent tell-all interviews. He is now my nominee for Time’s “Person of the Year.” He’d be a better choice than Putin or Bush, certainly.

  12. Glynn Wilson Says:

I don’t know if I would go so far as to make him Time’s person of the year, but he’s obviously a better man than I thought he was. The talking points on him are not working this time, except with Bush’s dumbass base. More and more people are seeing through the BS.

This book and McClellan’s public appearances will help. In that regard, he is doing his country a service. The left-wing bloggers need to take a break from bashing him too and use the information he provides to continue expanding the base of people who may now come to understand “What Happened.”

Of course I don’t buy all the BS about believing in Bush’s claim to “change Washington,” but perhaps the little Christian was that naive at the outset. But the fact is, taking the press secretary job and keeping his mouth shut as long as he did is the ONLY reason he now has the opportunity to publish this book - and go on TV promoting it. If he had jumped sooner, he would have disappeared into the gay bars of Texas for sure : )

The downside is, there is little doubt we will now have to see him on the cable news shows as a talking head for the rest of our lives.
