Judge Bowdre was my judge.I had many charges but only two was allowed. I felt like I was at a home cooked meal and I was the main course. I won a Gender discrimnation case and was told by the judge while the jury was in deliberation that no matter what I had done the right thing adopting a child that this whole case stemed around. The small minority business owner was made out to look like the victim. So many things were not allowed and a 5th circuit case was allowed in my 11th curcuit to take away any chance of my getting front pay or back pay from this employer. That was the judges decision and my attorney said she was up until 2 a.m. because she knew after meeting after court where it was headed and couldn't find a case to put a fight up. My case took over four years to get in Federal court and Judge Bowdre was on a first name bases with the defendants attorney. His attorney was allowed to lie over and over as I sat trying to hold a straight face. Where is a polygraph and why couldn't I have saved myself the torment of four years and now more by proving my honesty? The case is so complex its hard for me to even began. I was granted a cause findings by the EEOC and they kept my case until the statute ran out and my EPA was done in. EEOC testified. The lawyer for the defendant was from the Northern District and mine from the Southern. My attorneys stated that they had never heard a judge speak to a jury in the mannor in which Karen Bowdre had. As I sat waiting for the jury to return with my verdict I was not surprized to find I shouldn't have had any faith in the system. Her personality could have been compared to a Television program jugde. I listened to the whole click make their weekend plans and was told what a good mother the defendants attorney was and I began to feel my sealed fate.I even know the Judge needed to leave early for her dance classes until it was councilled and where she takes lessons. Get the big picture? I was awarded 8,500 dollars and my exhibits could have been thrown out the window and blown all over the streets.That may be appealed by the defendant. It would have been just as well. I have enough evidence that was not allowed to sink a battle ship on that company. I was made to sit through all the distortion, and lies the other side had to offer. I was put through 299 pages of deposition and and a finger pointed in my face until I began to say yes and no which came back to haunt me. I looked like the bad guy in the court room when it was all said and done. Lily Ledbetter fair pay act wasn't enforced and I'm no attorney but I got a good education on our so called judicial system.The men made 2.50 more per hour and that wasn't allowed. My fate was sealed from the onset of the trial. I ask the judge about appeals and was told how expensive they were. I have not the means to fight and have to pay their attorneys fees if the system fails me again. Everyone congradulates you but for what? The attorneys get paid and a jury looks at the only documents allowed and does me a great injustice.I'm angry for sure but hurt more. They aren't the ones that depended on this case to provide a home for my son and a brighter future. I was told long ago "NO GOOD DEED,GOES UNPUNISED". The case I pray, will be picked apart and used to educate the people of how easy it is to get the short end of the stick. I could get so deep in the details but, I have no blanket of protection. If you have a way to get this case reviewed, please feel free. The defendants attorney lies with ease and won a case with distortion.The defendant is guilty enough to be behind bars from frauding our U.S. Government and is getting away with it. I at this point, do not know what I will be able to do. My attorneys may prefer to stay out of the Northern District. One of them said that this wouldn't have happened in the Southern District.
