Universal Healthcare Hearing Announced

There will be a statewide hearing on universal healthcare on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carver Theater, Jazz Hall of Fame.
The Honorable John Conyers (D-Mich.), senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, will be in attendance, along with other Alabama state leaders.
So far 20 cities in Alabama, 105 groups and 4 states have committed to attending, she said.
The Birmingham Congressional hearing as part of a national movement to discuss and support Universal Healthcare.
“Join us to hear testimony from healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, social workers, parents, children, youth, college, employed, unemployed, sensational seniors, seasonal workers, farmers, people with disabilities, pre-existing health conditions, union workers, veterans, rural citizens, business owners, politicians and members of Congress,” Ms. Wilson said.
“Millions of Americans have no healthcare Insurance,” she said. “More than 100,000 children in Alabama have no healthcare Insurance.”
