We’re not sure where sensationalist blogger Matt Drudge comes up with these things. But you’ve got to give him credit every once in a while.

The Rolling Stones kick off new world tour August 21 in Boston.

Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger has written a new song bashing U.S. President George W. Bush called “How Come You’re So Wrong, My Sweet Neo-Con.”

Part of the lyrics go like this:

You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/ You call yourself a patriot. Well, I think your are full of shit!…How come you’re so wrong, my sweet neo-con.

“It is direct,” Mick Jagger tells Newsweek magazine with a laugh in the new edition.

“Keith [Richards] said, ‘It’s not really metaphorical.’ I think he’s a bit worried because he lives in the U.S.” Jagger explains. “But I don’t.”

The song also mocks National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. News about the song surfaced a few weeks ago with many expecting that it would not make the final cut on the new CD, A Bigger Bang.

Jagger once vowed not to comment on the political process in the United States.

“I feel very much at home in America. I’ve spent half my adult life here. I have many personal feelings. But I’m from the school that considers it impolite to comment on other people’s elections. Now if I had the vote - and I should have, as I pay so much in taxes - I would have a lot to say.”

Now with the elections long over, and with the mounting evidence that the Bush and Blair administrations mislead the people on the reasons for war in Iraq, his tongue is apparently “unleashed,” according to the tabloid blog.

Now the Fascists at Fox Are After Mick Jagger

Here we go again. First it was the Dixie Chicks, then Eminem, then Bruce Springsteen, and then…the list goes on and on. Now it’s Mick Jagger’s turn to be slapped around…

Can we all have our turn at Britney Spears afterwards?

I agree with Jagger on Bush, of course. We need to do two things: Find something to Impeach Bush & Cheny on, and find out who’s coming up in the Republican Party to run for Pres. & defeat them. This gas price thing is absolute Bull____. We know that. Where’s the uproar? You bloggers got to get on the ball and your job! Cause the people to march on Washington with gas cans and leave thousands of “junker”cars (like mine) and leave them parked in from of the whitehouse. You guys do something to get it started!!!
