Alabama-Kentucky Tax Rivalry Over
April 17th, 2005“The Alabama-Kentucky rivalry is finally over,” declares an opinion column in the Huntsville Times. “For years we’ve competed to be No. 1 in unfair taxation, but they gave up first. Kentucky finally passed an income tax break for low-income working people. That will leave Alabama as the only state to charge over $500 in income tax on a family of four at the poverty line . . . ”
Interesting suggestion for an easy fix. Will it happen? Of course not. That would make sense.
